NetherRealm Studios is holding a panel at San Diego Comic-Con this week where it will reveal two new characters for Injustice 2.
Creative director Ed Boon shared the image below, which features the silhouettes of the soon-to-be-announced characters. We're not sure exactly who they are, but one appears to be a woman.
The hour-long panel takes place on Friday, July 22, starting at 12:30 PM PT. Panelists include Ed Boon and Injustice comics author Tom Taylor, as well as voice actors George Newnbern (Scandal) as Superman, Phil LaMarr (Futurama) as Aquaman, and Laura Bailey (Uncharted 4: A Thief's End) as Supergirl.
There may also be "some surprise guests," according to the panel's official description. Additionally, attendees can expect to see "exciting new gameplay" and hear panelists talk about Injustice 2's new features and customization component. Taylor will discuss a new Injustice comic.
Following a string of reports and leaks, Warner Bros. officially announced Injustice 2 in the days before E3 2016. Confirmed characters so far include Batman, Superman, Supergirl, Aquaman, Atrocitus, Supergirl, and Gorilla Grodd. Characters rumored for the game include Captain Cold, Doctor Fate, and Harley Quinn.
Injustice 2, a sequel to 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us, is scheduled to come out in 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
