Turtle Beach was one of the first manufacturers to announce licensed, compatible headsets for the Xbox One. Microsoft opted to use a proprietary connection port on the controller of its upcoming console, and as such, there is a serious dearth of third-party peripherals.
While neither of the two announced headsets--the XO Four and XO Seven--are groundbreaking in design, they both encompass an expected level of quality from Turtle Beach.
The XO Four is a smaller, on-ear headset with a rounded headband. The XO Seven is noticeably larger, with soft cups resting around the ear. The headband on the XO Seven is broader, and slightly more padded. While both feature "Xbox green" accents, a Turtle Beach rep mentioned the finish on both headsets may change slightly prior to final release.
There was an overriding sense among third-party manufacturer's at E3 that licensing was taking some time, but hopefully we'll continue to see more compatible devices as the Xbox One launch date inches closer.
